Our repertoire is demanding, so we expect a good singing voice, choir singing experience, quick musical assimilation and a long-term commitment to the chorus and the development of one’s own  voice. Working conditions at the Music Centre are excellent. The chorus rehearses alternately on Sunday and Monday evenings, but on concert weeks there are several rehearsals with orchestras according to varying schedules.

The chorus is a very inspiring, supportive and continuous learning community. The chorus’s artistic director is Nils Schweckendiek.

Auditions

There will be two phases of auditions. Applicants will submit an application form and an optional song sample electronically. The song sample can easily be filmed, for example on a mobile phone.

Pre-registration form and recording of the sample

On the basis of the applications and the singing sample, some candidates will be invited to the actual audition, which will consist of the following parts:

One optional solo or aria, with a pianist present at the audition
A prima vista task
Checking the vocal range of a singer
A short interview
